Full time work hours after training: 10:30AM CT - 7PM CT

Overview**
Avenica is evaluating talent for a Mental Health Provider Associate. In this role, you would be responsible for handing inbound calls from both customers and providers or their support staff regarding mental health or substance use disorder services. The ideal candidate for this position is excited to gain experience and grow within the healthcare field. **
Responsibilities Of The Mental Health Provider Associate**
- Communicate eligibility, generate a list of provider referrals, quote benefits, or advise of authorization requirements for services
- Write authorizations to ensure claims are paid correctly
- Provide follow-up on issues by making outbound calls when necessary
- Send resources to members and providers via email
- Submit a complaint on the members or provider’s behalf
- Independently problem-solve to ensure accurate information is given, and exceptional customer service and first call resolution is achieved
- Conduct an intake with members to assess for presenting concern of risk of harm or substance use concerns
Requirements For Mental Health Provider Associate
- Bachelor’s degree is required , preferably in the mental health/social sciences field
- Ability to work full time: this is a full-time role, 40hrs/week.
- Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the US; Avenica is unable to provide sponsorship at this time
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high call volume environment
- Highly motivated with an initiative to actively seek opportunities to broaden knowledge and improve skills
- Strong counseling skills – must demonstrate warmth and empathy on the phone
- Strong conflict-resolution skills
- Flexible and creative problem-solver – every call is different
- Self-directed and independent, coupled with good judgment in making decisions
