Talpasolutios is looking for an IT Administrator who will be responsible for setting up and managing our organisation's IT and support facilities:

The position is part-time (up to 30h/week) and requires presence in Talpa's office in Essen 2-3 days a week.

Your mission:

  • Manage and coordinate the information technology department, focusing on implementing IT strategies and managing IT projects and teams.

  • IT Support/Helpdesk, resolving immediate technical issues and providing day-to-day user support.

  • Responsible for providing technical assistance and support to an organization's computer systems, hardware, and software. Troubleshoot and resolve issues, maintain system performance, and assist users with technical problems.

  • Responsible for installing, configuring, and updating software and hardware and performing regular system maintenance tasks.

  • Managed and maintained network and system infrastructures, troubleshooting issues, and ensured operational efficiency.

  • Secure a company's infrastructure and applications by implementing and maintaining security measures.

  • Designs and optimizes network and system infrastructures while a Network/Systems Administrator maintains and troubleshoots existing networks and systems.

  • Management of user accounts, access rights, and permissions.

  • Assistance in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.

  • Evaluation of new technologies and their potential impact on the business.

  • Collaboration with external service providers and vendors.

Your profile:

  • Professional experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar role.

  • Sound knowledge of network technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.

  • Experience managing Windows and/or Linux-based systems.

  • Good knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, and other Microsoft technologies.

  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

  • Familiarity with security concepts and practices, including firewalls, encryption, and identity management.

  • Ability to analyze problems systematically and effectively implement solutions.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in English and German.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible.

  • Experience with ITIL-based service management processes.
