Responsibilities
- Implement practices that support platform development to drive sustainable solutions
- Balance the need for rapid change with rigor around systems and architectural concerns
- Drive platform design/implementation by working in collaboration with product development leadership and the business
- Build a reliable, resilient platform with the right monitoring and metrics to ensure ease of future development efforts
- Lead requirements gathering, design, testing and platform strategy with cross-functional teams including both business and technical stakeholders
- Proved effective written and oral communications to stakeholders
- Design and implement enhancements to our proprietary software, Plezio
- Document standard operating procedures and approaches for using Plezio
- Responsible for staying current with enterprise and industry standards, technologies, methodologies and best practices
- Focus on team outcomes , working on incident prevention, mitigation and monitoring/detection strategies
- Ensure performance and availability of tools and systems via real-time monitoring and triage
- Write scripts to automate repetitive duties in order to reduce time and human error
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience
- E-commerce development and configuration experience with any platform highly encouraged including but not limited to Magento, Akeneo
- SysAdmin/Dev-Ops skills:
- Testing & QA frameworks especially repo-driven automated regression testing
- Test Driven Development (TDD) experience desired, but not required
- Linux server experience
- Platform infrastructure architecture and implementation
- AWS, DigitalOcean preferred
- PHP programming experience (especially frameworks such as Laravel or Symphony)
- Proven history of excelling in a team-based, collaborative environments
- Proven experience designing and documenting API calls
- Knowledge of front-end development
- Knowledge of back-end development
- Knowledge of database engines (MySQL, SQL Server, and Mongodb in use)
- Knowledge of client-side testing best practices and tooling
