Hydrologist/Water Resources Engineer (Vancouver)
We are seeking a Water Resources Scientist to join our BC team (Vancouver preferred) to support projects across Canada, with a focus on British Columbia, and the North.

Role Responsabilities:
- Compile, manage and analyze hydrology, hydraulic, and climate data
- Field data collection, management, and organization
- Design and implement hydrological and meteorological monitoring programs
- Prepare technical memorandums and reports
- Work collaboratively across offices and disciplines
- Project coordination
- Provide training, mentorship, and supervision to junior and co-op staff
- Play a key role in business development including communication with clients and contributing to proposals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., physical geography, geology, water resources engineering)
- Membership, or eligibility for membership, with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia or other relevant professional associations.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in hydrology/water resources
- Field experience in remote locations, including hydrometric and weather station installation, data logger programming, surveying and streamflow measurements
- Knowledge of provincial and federal regulations and guidelines
- Understanding of hydrological and hydraulic models
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Valid driver’s licence
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficiency with hydrological and hydraulic models
- Graduate degree
- GIS experience
- Environmental Flow Needs experience (e.g. SEFA)
- Proficiency with R, Python, or another applicable programming language
- Demonstrated work experience in mining and hydropower sectors
- Hydrogeology, geomorphology, ecology, and/or channel restoration experience
- Project management experience
- Swiftwater training, ATV/UTV/Argo Safe Operations certification
