Job description

The Arbitrum Foundation is an organisation based in the Cayman Islands that is tasked with developing and nurturing the Arbitrum ecosystem. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager with a strong sales focus and extensive enterprise connections in Japan. The ideal candidate will be a native Japanese speaker with a deep understanding of the local market dynamics and business culture. Reporting directly to the Executive team, the Senior Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in Japan.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies tailored to the Japanese market to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Identify and prioritize key business opportunities, partnerships, and channels for growth, particularly within the enterprise sector.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to drive business expansion and collaboration.
  • Lead the entire sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and legal, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments in Japan to inform strategic decision-making and market positioning.
  • Represent Arbitrum Foundation at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.

  • Desired Background
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management roles, with a focus on the Japanese market.
  • Extensive network of contacts within the enterprise sector in Japan, with demonstrated ability to leverage these connections for business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized finance (DeFi) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for driving growth and innovation.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese languages is required.
