Job description

Grow with us – Start your career at IU International University!

Seize this opportunity and support our Team at one of our locations (e.g. Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, etc.) or remotely within Germany as a Salesforce Technical Lead (m/f/d).

At IU, innovation and customer-centric solutions are at the heart of what we do. We are seeking a Salesforce Technical Lead (m/f/d) to steer our Salesforce domain team towards excellence. Reporting to the Salesforce Engineering Manager (EM), this dual role combines leading the technical direction of Salesforce projects with hands-on development and problem-solving. You will work closely with the Product Owner, Head of Engineering SalesTech and Director Product, translating product vision into scalable Salesforce solutions that deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Your leadership will foster a culture of technical mentorship and high-quality coding practices, ensuring alignment with our broader technological strategies and customer-centric approaches. You will play a decisive role in navigating complex challenges, optimizing our Salesforce environment for both performance and scalability, and facilitating continuous innovation and learning within the team.

YOUR TASKS

  • Lead the technical decision-making process within the Salesforce domain, ensuring the development of scalable, robust systems.

  • Tackle critical technical issues, providing solutions that align with both business objectives and our overarching technology strategy.

  • Promote a culture of quality and innovation and collaborate with the Head of Engineering to ensure the Salesforce team's activities align with our global technology strategy.

  • Mentor team members and guide them towards best practices in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and integrations.

  • Work with Product Owners to convert product requirements into efficient, scalable Salesforce architectures, making use of low/no-code solutions where appropriate.

  • Foster high-performance engineering practices within the team, embracing CI/CD, and lean development.

  • Drive a culture of continuous learning, encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing within and beyond the Salesforce team.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven experience in Salesforce development, including extensive knowledge of Salesforce technologies like Apex, Lightning, and integrations.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and make strategic decisions that align with business objectives.

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, best practices, and agile methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Committed to ongoing professional development and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills, capable of presenting technical information in a clear and concise manner.
