Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UX Architect(hourly) to join our dynamic team. As a UX Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and shaping user experiences for our digital products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, create wireframes and prototypes, and ensure a seamless and intuitive user journey. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability testing.

Location: This is a fully-remote role anywhere in the United States. **

Responsibilities**

About the Job

  • User research and analysis:
  • Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations.
  • Audit and evaluate existing content and functionality
  • Analyze research findings to inform and validate design decisions.
  • UX strategy & information architecture:
  • Develop information architecture solutions that optimize user flows and enhance overall usability.
  • Create site maps, user flows, and wireframes to communicate design concepts.
  • Interaction design:
  • Design intuitive and engaging user interactions for digital products.
  • Develop interactive prototypes to demonstrate and test design concepts.
  • Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards, making digital products inclusive for all users.
  • Usability testing:
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and validate design solutions.
  • Iterate designs based on user feedback and testing results.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, content strategists, developers, and visual designers.
  • Communicate design ideas and rationale effectively to stakeholders.
  • Provide support throughout design, coding/dev and deployment process
  • Documentation:
  • Create and maintain design documentation, including design specifications and guidelines.

Qualifications

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with responsive design and mobile app design.
  • Familiarity with front-end development technologies.
  • Knowledge of CMS platforms including Drupal and Wordpress.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in UX design.
  • Certification in UX design or related field is a plus.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, information architecture, computer science or similar field of study is required.
  • 5-7 years proven experience as a UX Architect or similar role.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful UX design projects.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability testing.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, including ability to present work to clients and executives
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities, work independently and be a self-starter.

_The salary range for this position is $65/hr to $75/hr. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, past training, skills and abilities of applicant, internal equity and local geographic market data. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
