Job description

The primary purpose of the Division finance manager is to oversee financial activities within the division they support. The individual will collaborate with corporate finance and other Division Finance Manager, and work closely with the Division President, and is pivotal in providing strategic financial support to grow the business and setting financial targets. This position is responsible for the division's budgeting, financial reporting, strategic planning, compliance, financial modeling, performance analysis, training, and collaborates with the Division President to ensure financial goals are met.

  • Create annual business planning; budgeting and forecasting activities within the division
  • Drives monthly & quarterly business reviews and exception reporting;
  • Conduct root cause problem-solving and provides recommendation on possible financial solutions
  • Provide data-driven analyses to solve complex problems, develop performance standards, and support executive decision-making
  • Helps drive business cases and tracking of Strategic Division Projects and participates in key projects to drive growth
  • Advise management on financial performance on a continuous basis, including key trends, comparisons to budget, and proactively suggest alternative approaches
  • Help build and maintain a high performance finance function and internal control environment, provide financial acumen training to field leadership team
  • Partner with field finance teams (peers) and the company’s various subsidiary companies to improve financial planning cycles, identify business improvement opportunities, and communicate financial information to stakeholders.
  • Develop an understanding of the company’s various lines of business and provide ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Travel within the division to conduct store visits and other offices in the organization as needed
