Job description

Job Title: QA Engineer (Remote)

Job Summary:

We are searching for an experienced QA (Quality Assurance) engineer who is well-versed in automated and exploratory testing methods to ensure the quality of our products. The first round will be a QA coding challenge using JavaScript

Roles and Responsibilities:

Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools such as Cypress, Playwright, and Puppeteer
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) testing methodology
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Liaise with internal teams, such as developers and product managers, to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Desired Candidate Profile:

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Expertise using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, and Puppeteer for testing
Fluent in JavaScript and Typescript for test script writing
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to take ownership of testing strategy and tracking bugs with the team
