Butler
Position Summary:
Responsible to ensure that all Sailors are provided outstanding and memorable service.
Consistently exhibits and transmits the company's service culture, is polite, courteous, accommodating and displays a positive outlook and attitude at all times.
Full knowledge of the product and services onboard.
Knowledgeable in providing in suites F&B services, such as breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Knowledgeable in mixology to be able to host in suite cocktail parties.
Monitors Sailors satisfaction & feedback and acts on any complaints or requests.
Keeps and maintains preferences of Sailors in order to provide a personalized service.
Responsible to ensure prompt actions are taking regarding issues affecting sailor service.
Communicates and act on all complaints onboard to Sailor Services Director.
Must have the ability to deal with difficult situation and maintain a team spirit within the entourage team.
Needs to ensure that all aspects of the in suite service meet the standards.
Collaborates with the Cabin Host on the daily duties and must report to the Executive Housekeeper any short falling regarding cleanliness and service provided.
Meet and introduce her/himself to all the top category suites, VIP sailors.
Participate in Sailor events, parties, and gatherings, as directed by management.
The butler is entirely responsible for the maintenance of suites including the immediate surrounding areas.
Responsible for the correct handling of work arising daily/per voyage/monthly according to standards.
Monitor Work and Rest hours ensuring MLC guidelines are adhered to.
Key requirements:
Minimum age for all applicants is 21 years.
Must have clear criminal record.
Must not be on any chronic medication and have clear medical history.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership and organization skills.
Team player.
Outgoing personality, open minded and flexible.
Well-groomed and a neat appearance.
Ability to work with international crew and sailors.
Ability to perform well under pressure.
Ability to deliver Heroic recoveries with sailors.
Min. 3 years experience in a 5-stars operation, hotel, restaurant, cruise ship.
Great attitude at all times.
Punctual, Flexible and efficient.
The Butler must maintain an active and flowing communication with different departments according to the related issues:
Sailor Services Director
Executive Housekeeper
Senior executive Chef
Restaurant Operations Manager
Beverage Operations Manager
Shore Excursion manager
Food Safety and Sanitation Officer
Keeping Her/himself and the team aware of costs and monitoring control procedures.
Reviewing financial transactions to create opportunity to increase on board revenue.
Familiar with breakage prevention, and ensure that the entourage team comply with it.

Maintain the equipment inventory on hand and store as per company standards, and coordinate in timely manner future orders.
To be aware of the revenue aspects of the operation.
To ensure cost-effective revenue of the assigned venue and minimize operating expenses without affecting product standards delivered to the sailors.
