Description

 

PCG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cerner Millennium Revenue Cycle Management Specialist to join our healthcare organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing revenue cycle processes using the Cerner Millennium system. Your primary focus will be on managing and improving the financial aspects of our organization, including billing, coding, claims processing, reimbursement, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Cerner Millennium modules, revenue cycle workflows, and industry best practices to ensure efficient revenue cycle operations. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Utilize expertise in Cerner Millennium revenue cycle modules (such as Patient Accounting, Billing, Claims, and Remittance) to optimize revenue cycle workflows and processes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Clinical Departments, to develop and implement revenue cycle strategies and initiatives. 
  • Analyze and evaluate revenue cycle data to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement, and develop actionable plans to address them. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing, coding, and claims submission in compliance with regulatory requirements and payer guidelines. 
  • Monitor and manage denials, appeals, and payment discrepancies, working closely with payers and third-party vendors to resolve issues and maximize reimbursement. 
  • Implement and maintain revenue cycle performance metrics and reporting systems to track key performance indicators and financial outcomes. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in reimbursement methodologies to ensure compliance and adapt revenue cycle processes accordingly. 
  • Conduct regular audits to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions as needed. 
  • Provide training, education, and support to revenue cycle staff on Cerner Millennium modules and best practices. 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and participate in system upgrades and enhancements. 
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (such as CRCR or CPAR) are a plus. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare organization, with a strong focus on utilizing Cerner Millennium. 
  • In-depth knowledge of Cerner Millennium revenue cycle modules and workflows. 
  • Strong understanding of billing, coding, claims processing, reimbursement methodologies, and revenue cycle best practices. 
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payer policies. 
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting revenue cycle data and performance metrics. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement process improvements. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience with system upgrades, enhancements, and troubleshooting is preferred.
