Job description

Description

 

PCG is looking for an Epic Care Radiant Specialist, this position would typically involve working with the application to ensure that it is functioning optimally and meeting the needs of the radiology department. The specific duties of an EpicCare Radiant job are: 

 

  • Collaborating with radiology department staff and other stakeholders to understand their workflow requirements.
  • Configuring and customizing the Epic Radiant module to meet the specific needs of the radiology department.
  • Performing system integration tasks, ensuring seamless communication between the Radiant module and other modules within the Epic EHR system.
  • Training and supporting end-users (radiologists, technologists, and other staff) on how to effectively use the Epic Radiant system.
  • Collaborating with the organization's IT team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the Epic Radiant module.
  • Keeping up-to-date with new features and enhancements in the Epic Radiant module and providing recommendations for system optimizations.
  • Assisting with system upgrades, testing, and documentation related to the Epic Radiant module.
  • Adhering to relevant industry regulations, such as HIPAA, when handling patient data within the Epic Radiant system.


Requirements

 Qualifications: 

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, healthcare IT, or a related field is usually required. An advanced degree or certification in healthcare IT, such as a certification in EpicCare Radiant, may be preferred. 
  • Experience: Experience working with EpicCare Radiant or other healthcare IT applications is typically required. Experience working in a radiology department or other healthcare setting is also highly desirable. 
  • Technical Skills: A person should have a strong technical background in healthcare IT and computer systems. They should be familiar with database management, system integration, and software customization. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role requires communicating with various stakeholders, including radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff. Good written and oral communication skills are essential. 
  • Problem-Solving Skills: An EpicCare Radiant job requires excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues related to the application and radiology workflows. 
  • Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement in radiology workflows and the EpicCare Radiant application is highly desirable. 
  • Teamwork Skills: EpicCare Radiant jobs require collaborating with other IT professionals and healthcare personnel to integrate systems and optimize workflows. Therefore, strong teamwork skills are highly valued.
