Description

 

PCG is looking for an EpicCare-Hospice Specialist who is responsible for managing the electronic health record system and providing support to hospice care teams. This position requires a thorough understanding of the EpicCare system, as well as expertise in hospice care. The specialist will work with clinical teams to optimize the use of the system to improve patient outcomes and ensure accurate documentation of hospice care services. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for EpicCare support for the hospice care team 
  • Provide training and education to hospice care staff on the use of the EpicCare system 
  • Develop and maintain EpicCare workflows specific to hospice care 
  • Ensure that documentation in EpicCare is accurate and complete for hospice care services provided 
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize the use of the system and improve patient outcomes 
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives related to hospice care 
  • Actively monitor and analyze data related to hospice care services in EpicCare and identify areas for improvement 
  • Serve as a liaison between hospice care teams and the EpicCare support team for issue resolution and system updates 
  • Ensure that EpicCare compliance standards are met, and that policies and procedures related to the system are followed 
  • Stay up-to-date on new EpicCare features and functionality related to hospice care 
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with the EpicCare system in a hospice care setting 
  • Strong understanding of hospice care services and documentation requirements 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Experience in training and education on the use of electronic health record systems 
  • Knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and processes 

Preferred: 

  • EpicCare certification 
  • Master's degree in healthcare or related field 
  • Experience in project management or process improvement 
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to hospice care services.
