Job description

Location: NexThreat LLC (Remote and/or On-site) 
Duration: 10-12 weeks (with potential for extension) 

HUBZone Residency (REQUIRED). You may determine if an address or a particular area is designated as a HUBZone by using the HUBZone Maps.

Position Summary: 

NexThreat LLC is seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Intern to join our team through the HUBZone Internship Program for Government Contractors. The Information Technology Intern will have the opportunity to work on various IT projects, including infrastructure management, system administration, and network security. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, team player, and has a strong interest in pursuing a career in the IT field. 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Support the maintenance and administration of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security systems. 
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. 
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and configure new software applications and hardware systems. 
- Contribute to the development and documentation of IT policies, procedures, and best practices. 
- Monitor system performance and provide recommendations for improvements to ensure optimal performance and reliability. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

- HUBZone Residency (REQUIRED) Your primary work location and address must be in an area designated as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone). 
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems. 
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
- Familiarity with common IT tools, such as operating systems, programming languages, and cybersecurity measures.
