EpicCare MyChart

Public Consulting Group (PCG) is a leading public sector management consulting and operations improvement firm that partners with health, education, and human services agencies to improve lives. 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EpicCare MyChart Administrator to join our healthcare organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and support the EpicCare MyChart patient portal system, ensuring its smooth operation, user accessibility, and optimal functionality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare operations, experience with Epic Systems software, and excellent technical and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary administrator for the EpicCare MyChart system, overseeing its configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including IT staff, clinicians, and administrators, to identify and implement system enhancements, upgrades, and new features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user inquiries, issues, and system errors related to EpicCare MyChart functionality.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure data accuracy, privacy, and security compliance.
• Train and educate staff members on the effective use of EpicCare MyChart, including patient registration, scheduling, messaging, and other relevant features.
• Coordinate with internal teams to integrate EpicCare MyChart with other healthcare systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability.
• Collaborate with the privacy and security teams to maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information within the MyChart system.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to patient portal systems, recommending improvements and enhancements to enhance the user experience and achieve organizational goals.
• Participate in system testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing for new releases, updates, and system integrations.
• Document system configurations, workflows, and standard operating procedures, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience as an EpicCare MyChart Administrator or similar role in a healthcare organization.
• Strong knowledge of Epic Systems software, particularly EpicCare MyChart module.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective resolutions.
• Familiarity with healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and patient engagement strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Epic certification(s) in relevant modules is a plus
