Freelancer - Writer

I am reaching out in regard to an open opportunity as you previously applied and completed our General Assessment. Onboarding was paused for a few months but has now resumed and as you have passed our General Assessment, we would like to outline the open freelance opportunity to see if you are still interested in joining us as a freelance data annotator. If you would like to join us, you will be referred to our staffing partner for onboarding on their end and then we will set up a date for your initial training once onboarding is completed.
 
Opportunity:

Pay rate: $12-$15 USD per hour
Duration: End of year, but work is not guaranteed weekly
Expected start date: As soon as onboarding is completed.
The project could extend into ongoing work, or annotators may be offered an opportunity to join other projects upon completion.
Expected commitment time: Minimum 4 hours daily or 20 hours weekly (when work is available)
Maximum allowed: 40 hours weekly

Project Description: 
Annotators will be reviewing a paragraph of text or bot/model response to a question (e.g. from a chatbot). The annotator will then label the prompt and model output based on the guidelines provided. Annotators will be asked to rate the helpfulness, correctness, grammar, etc. of the model response. 
Some content will be toxic. While the content might not be heavily toxic, if you are uncomfortable with toxic content then this may not be a good fit for you. Toxic content includes mentions of violence, identity attacks, sexual harassment, etc.

Additional Notes:
Hours are not guaranteed on any project as there are instances where clients pause work, the client has issues generating work to share with us, or work is consumed quicker than expected. If work is consistently available, we will expect each freelance annotator to meet the minimum hours that they have committed for the week.
There is a possibility that there could be weeks without work (usually not more than 2 weeks but it does happen).
As other project opportunities become available, we may reach out to current freelance annotators to determine availability and interest.
While we do ask for a minimum daily/weekly commitment of 4 hours (or 20 weekly) when work is available, the actual time of day that you work is flexible. As long as you are able to complete the work you can work at any time of the day or night that you choose.

Job description:
A writer will create a user-bot conversation that involves using a search engine. By using the search engine, the writer will set up a prompt, create a query/queries, and then compose a bot response based on the retrieved passages.

To qualify for the project, each writer will need to pass an exam which includes the following:

Choose the correct word: 14 questions (15 minutes expected)
Sentence completion: 10 questions (10 minutes expected)
Restatements: 5 questions (10 minutes expected)
Reading Comprehension: 4 questions (10 minutes expected)
Summarizing: 2 questions (15 minutes expected)
Paraphrasing: 3 questions (15 minutes expected)

Total time expected: 1 hour 15 minutes

Work will be ongoing during the expected start and end date, and writers will be able to work up to 40 hours weekly during this time (Monday - Sunday work week). We ask for a minimum commitment of 20 hours for each week. Work time is flexible, writers can work any time of the day/night that they choose as we do not work on a set schedule.
