The Role:

The Accountant position requires “Out of the Box” thinking and creative problem solving to account for the various deal structures. If you like variety in your work and embrace change, this opportunity could be right for you.

Uses advanced accounting concepts and organizational objectives to resolve highly complex issues. Regularly works on highly complex accounting assignments that are of diverse scope requiring analysis of identifiable factors using multiple accounting and financial sources. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, completing analysis, and developing recommendations. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, with general instructions provided on new or unique accounting assignments. Interacts with senior internal and external contacts on matters of some significance to the accounting organization.

Department Name: Hospital Accounting

Department Description: The Medical Center Accounting department is expanding to support the growth of organization-wide strategic affiliations and is moving toward a more centralized accounting structure to accommodate existing operations. The department is dynamic and continuously strives to seek opportunities for process improvements to gain efficiencies. We are seeking an Accountant to join our growing Finance team. We are seeking an individual with strong accounting and analytical skills to join our growing accounting team.

Requirements

Three years of applicable accounting experience in a large corporation (healthcare is a plus)

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area

Demonstrated skills in accounting with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness coupled with strong analytical abilities

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Ability to independently gather, organize, and perform complex accounting-related analysis to complete work assignments

Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing

Possesses a sense of urgency; identifies challenges and problems and takes the initiative to identify solutions

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people in diverse and different settings

Flexibility to perform a variety of detailed accounting functions and meet established deadlines

Ability to effectively facilitate change in an environment where the structure may evolve rapidly

Well-developed problem-solving skills
