Job description

Middleware Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA – remote to start
Duration: long term contract – up to 4 years

ABOUT THE POSITION

This role performs the design and configuration of middleware infrastructure and platforms for the applications being migrated to the AWS cloud.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – RESPONSIBILITIES

  • WebSphere Application Server, Microsoft IIS, Tomcat, Apache experience
  • General AWS Expertise (3+ yrs) – Certification(s) preferred AWS Developer certification
  • AWS containerization experience
  • REST API development experience
  • Experience migrating applications to the cloud required
  • AWS specialties:
  • AWS Lambda – preferred
  • AWS Code management – Required (CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild, etc)
  • Java, J2EE, Javascript, Python, Visual C++, .NET programming experience (at least 2)
  • System decomposition, design (such as decoupling) and architecting solutions required to migrate applications to AWS.
