Description

Who we are:  Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country.   Our growing practice includes 215 radiologists, 44 advanced practice providers, and 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS.  We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.

What we do:  We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan.   ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan’s largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. Corewell Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital opened in 2011 and employs nearly 200 physicians in more than 50 pediatric specialties and programs.  HDVCH is one of the nation's largest neonatal centers with more than 1,200 babies admitted each year.

What we are looking for:  We are seeking a remote fellowship trained Pediatric Radiologist to join our team of 12 pediatric radiologists.  This person will cover some daytime hours of 8a to 5p or 7a to 4p EST OR in an 11a-7p shift for a west coast-or Hawaii based candidates. In addition we do have a proportion of flexible shifts as part of a regular schedule.  If preferred a significant amount of the shifts could be 3a to 10p EST.  Our standard track positions work 39 weeks and 11 weekends and have 13 weeks’ vacation.  The weekend shifts would also be pediatric covering 7a to 3p or 3p – 10p EST.  This is a partnership track position with full compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

1. 100% Pediatric Radiology/No On Site Call Required

2. Cover all modalities and service lines, including pediatric neuroradiology

Why is our practice unique? ARS is a 100% physician owned and managed practice.  We are committed to remaining independent.  We are looking for entrepreneurial minded physicians who value involvement in decision making and developing our business strategy.  Participation in section, committee and board meetings is not required but welcomed from day one. While we are an independent private practice, some of our physicians practice with an academic focus.  In affiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine, our radiologists have opportunities to teach and mentor residents and pursue research if desired. Due to the size and breadth of the healthcare systems we support, diagnostic volume and variety of clinical exposure is unrivaled.

Compensation/Benefits:  Our physicians pay nothing for medical/dental/vision coverage.  We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan.  We offer a generous vacation package and abundant opportunities to pick up additional shifts and increase compensation.  We are continually striving to improve the work/life balance for our physicians.

Why do you want to live here? Grand Rapids has earned numerous awards and is considered one of the most desirable places to live in the country!  Ranked number 13 in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 “Best Places to Live in the U.S.A,” Grand Rapids is Michigan’s second largest city and less than a 60 minute drive to Lake Michigan beach towns such as Holland, Grand Haven, and Saugatuck.  Grand Rapids also offers a growing economy, award-winning schools and a craft brewery scene that is one of the best in the nation.
