Job description

This is a remote position.

One of Big 4 CPA firms in NY is seeking variation analysts -REMOTE

Assist in the preparation of valuations for closely held or publicly traded companies with a focus on the alternative investment space
Interact with hedge fund, private equity, venture capital, and limited partner investment and finance officers
Build new and update existing financial models
Perform analysis on financial and economic data, subject companies, guideline companies, industries and markets, and other types of fund and investment analysis
Review and analyze U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) financial statements Prepare valuation and other types of reports and presentations 

 

We do have three positions at the different exp.  Hourly rate will depend on experiences.

Requirements

Significant experience with valuations of business entities, various forms of equity, debt instruments, and financial analysis and research

Possess advanced finance, financial modeling, accounting, and analytical abilities
Strong work ethic, ability to multitask, presentation, problem solving and organizational skills, and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid research skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment and/or independently
At least 2 years experience in valuation

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business from an accredited college/university Completion of ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) credential is preferred Other highly desirable credentials include CFA, ASA, AM, and/or FMVA
