Job description

V7 is an AI training data platform enabling thousands of companies to teach AI at scale through no-code workflows, making it more accurate and trustworthy. We exist to help turn valuable human knowledge into cutting edge AI, and play a major role in the evolution of AI as a technology.

V7 raised a $33m Series A from Geoff Hinton’s Radical Ventures, and are backed by some of the best minds in AI, from Ashish Vaswani (Attention is All You Need), Oriol Vinyals (DeepMind), Christian Szegedy (X.ai) and AI leadership at Amazon, X, Isomorphic, and Google. V7 is used to power AI’s rollout at numerous Fortune 500 organisations including Sony, Boston Scientific and Genentech.

Take a tour of our product in 90 seconds here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-DMAN8gbjk

Full stack engineers at V7 ensure that complex operations involving visual data can be performed smoothly through a high fidelity web interface at large scale – think applying foundation models like Gemini Pro to enable complex analyses across large financial documents. Our front-end is supported by highly talented designers who obsess over polish and want to build a complex AI product that feels as simple as using your favourite tools, like Linear, Notion, and Figma. Our back-end development is world-class, full of experienced engineers, and not short of challenges.

Some of the responsibilities you will tackle are:

  • Enable foundation models to be applied to multimodal data at scale

  • Build delightful UX for managing data, so that humans + AI can work in tandem on hard problems

  • Ship to production multiple times a day, working in tandem with PMs/Designers to solve user problem

Our BE is in Elixir (Erlang) with Phoenix, and FE is Vue.js. Our deep learning framework of choice is Pytorch. We don't expect you to know Pytorch. If you don't know Elixir, that's ok, but you'll have to learn it. (some of our team members had no Elixir experienced when they started and had no problem learning it).

Requirements:

  • A degree in computer science or similar

  • Experienced Fullstack Product Engineer, preferably with a strong background in frontend development.

  • Customer-centricity is paramount. Engineers are integral to every stage of the delivery process, necessitating a strong product focus. We value individuals who are passionate about their craft and are equally invested in addressing product and technical challenges.

  • Demonstrated experience in building complex front end applications - with Vue or React is a plus.

  • Experience with functional programming. Familiarity with Elixir is a plus, but other languages like Haskell, Clojure, Scala and F# are also great.

  • A curious, scientific mind.

  • Fluent in English.

What’s in it for you:

  • Top 15% quartile equity options plan through an EMI scheme

  • Private Healthcare via Vitality

  • Unlimited vacation, just tell us when you need time off

  • Learning and Development wallet

  • Monthly well being and mental health budget

  • Personalised benefits platform via Thanks Ben

  • Enhanced parental leave

  • Apple hardware provided plus a budget for home office equipment

  • Passionate about DEI and want to make a difference for yourself and others in the workplace? Us too! We have group leaders and allies championing the importance of diversity in 2024 who are always on the lookout for more allies and/or co-leads!
