We are seeking a Virtual Assistant with Medical Experience and a high level of English proficiency (C1) for a full-time remote position. This role requires a 45-hour work week.
Working Hours:
Official working hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Miami, FL schedule. However, this may vary depending on the client's needs. The maximum weekly working hours are 45.
Position Summary:
In this remote position, your key responsibilities include entering patient data into files, maintaining a database of records, scheduling appointments for patients, and collecting information for patient health assessments over the phone.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively determine solutions for handling unique patient/emergency situations
- Answer inbound calls from the unit phone queue and make outbound calls to providers and members regarding authorization request status
- Accurately enter authorization requests and submitted documents into the authorization system
- Obtain all necessary documentation required to process referrals and requests for covered services
- Manage Contact Center operations – Inbound and Outbound Calls
- Appointment Scheduling – Manage appointments, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Create and complete Patient Charts
Please note, as an independent contractor, you will be responsible for making all necessary contributions to your local or state government (such as income taxes, social security, health insurance, etc.).
Requirements
The ideal candidate is mature, highly responsible, takes pride in their everyday tasks, can function effectively as part of a team, and is able to work independently. The following are required:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurances
- 1+ years of experience in Medical Accounts
- English proficiency at C1 level
- Internet speed of 100 MB+
- Own devices (laptop or desktop and headset)
