IT Project Manager

Project Overview: Migration of existing Genesys Engage (on-prem) contact center functionality and implementation of new functionality in Genesys Cloud for various Businesses.

Role Scope / Deliverables:
The Senior IT Project Manager will handle all aspects of large projects and programs beginning with the initial Business request through Closure. The Senior IT Project Manager will be encouraged to handle key projects that involve dependencies on multiple IT and Business Teams as well as personnel from multiple regional locations. The Senior IT Project Manager is one of the key partners responsible for ensuring that projects are implemented in accordance with Thermo Fisher Scientific's PMF process.

The Senior IT Project Manager is also responsible for leading, handling and completion of assigned projects and to this end will perform a variety of tasks including setting timelines, assigning responsibilities, resource capacity planning and monitoring and summarizing progress of the projects including expenditures.

Responsibilities:
1) Build project funding requests by working with team members to develop estimates to build staffing and financial models.
2) Create proposals and projects within the Thermo Fisher Scientific project management tool.
3) Maintain data within Planview EPPM to ensure accurate reporting of project status to management.
4) Create and maintain a detailed project plan incorporating all aspects related to the planning, definition, development, testing and release of functionality.
5) Responsible for planning the project to accomplish strategic goals within a defined schedule, cost, material resources, personnel resources, and quality standards.
6) Successfully communicate status of the project for management and all project champions including project plans, risk analysis and mitigation, status updates, and post-project reports.
7) Articulate and gain consensus on project goals with CCG and IT PMO leadership to insure a timely and within budget results.
8) Work with management to provide project team direction and vision including focus and prioritization, motivating people to perform, listening, and recognizing strengths to best apply available resources.

Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject area, or equivalent work experience and technical training.

Experience:
1) 10+ years of project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and carrying out large Information Technology (IT) projects from vision through implementation.

2) Validated experience in program management, partner management, managing managers.
3) Background in project estimating tools/techniques, Agile project management, CMMI and project management using multiple methodologies.
4) Process oriented thinking and strong attention to detail Degree required and subject area.

Previous experience in Genesys Cloud migration is highly desirable. Other valued work experience includes Planview EPPM, Jira, Salesforce, Microsoft 365 suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. Good analysis and presentation skills is a definite plus.
