Job Description:
- The senior developer will provide a flexible abstraction layer that securely manages communication between clients and microservices via API, load balancing, logging, and authentication at the security level
- Oversee technical delivery from the onshore and offshore development team
- Develop, Installation, and configure a logic for API integration for applications
- Leading Kond development team as well as mentoring and coaching junior developers
- Publishing and documenting API on Kong Developer Portal
- Define a high-level architecture/topology diagram for Kong implementation
- Work with the Security team to establish/align the API security standards
- Load Balancing and Routing & Parallel computing, Caching, Security Auth of API (JWT) should be applied
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required
- Prior experience hands-on with Kong API development, Installation, configuration and integration
- Excellent knowledge about API design standards patterns, open API specifications and best practices, especially Swagger and OpenAPI 2.0, REST, JSON, and XML as full API life-cycle
- Experience of automating Kong API gateway configurations as part of DevOps pipeline
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of Kong plugins (mediation, security, and traffic management policies).
