Overview
Emerge is seeking a Localization Program Manager to become part of our client's Globalization & Translation Services (GTS) Program. The PM will champion the service and seek out organizations that will gain value by utilizing the GTS program.
GTS is a shared service providing globalization and localization capabilities for the company, the partners, and customers. GTS drives consistent standards and processes that improve quality and accelerate the availability of Client’s products, services, tools, and associated content in the international markets. The goal is to improve the company’s customer and partner experiences which ultimately leads to increased sales growth and retention. From sales collateral to web or interactive video, our scalable global presence can support all localization needs. The global infrastructure includes teams of linguists and production and Program/Engagement Managers located throughout the world.
GTS provides a wide range of business translation services on an internal business level. This includes professional document translation of any type of business document, website translation, localization of software products, voice-overs/subtitling of company videos, translation of corporate communications and other certified translation services.
Job Responsibilities
- Help optimize the activities of the GTS shared services
- Develop companywide communications to internally market the GTS services thought the company
- Enforce governance and compliance across enterprise capabilities
- Manage an effective and meaningful stakeholder engagement process for support and gaining insights
- Proactively engage key targeted users of GTS services to support usage and market intelligence
- Map key market utilization and build road-map for engagement services for GTS value
- Work with cross-functional teams to re-engineer and adapt existing processes to accommodate exceptions related to the GTS initiatives
- Prioritize Stakeholder engagement and build awareness communication tools for value and GTS usage
- Provide Stakeholder Management and Engagement Align with Sales team for prioritize initiative impact
- Participate and advise in production team engagement and management for stakeholder satisfaction
- Provide business and strategic direction on localization enablement to help identify the long-term direction of the service
- Provide consultative localization support for processes, tools, and how-to impact
- Strategically define key awareness communication vehicles to promote the understanding, value and awareness of GTS
Qualifications
- Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 5 to 8+ years professional experience or equivalent in project management
- Able to work and mange virtual teams
- Needs assessment and project management skills
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all prospective stakeholders - mangers to VP level
- Navigate priorities and drive a coherent plan with measurable results
- Ability to collaborate, lead and work under pressure in a fast-paced matrix organization
- Ability to resolve conflicts and effectively do problem solving
- PMP Certified a plus
- Ability to transition from strategic thinking to managing and solving tactical issues
- Strong communication skills, active listener, ability to synthesize high level information
- Ability to apply structured problem solving (taking a large, complex problem and breaking it down into components, involve others as needed, drive resolution)
- Works independently & a quick learner
- Proven success, record of high performance and strong leadership skills
