Job Overview:
A SCADA engineer is responsible for the design, deployment, configuration and maintenance/troubleshooting of automation system software applications.
Job Responsibilities:
• Development of new SCADA software solutions
• Drive the completion of all required implementation processes and tollgate steps including requirements gathering, process flow documentation, testing, data validation, training, post go-live support, and other project related activities.
• Work with the process engineering and quality team leaders to identify and deliver process simplification solutions that drive reductions in cost and cycle time as well improved quality.
• Create a consistent communication rhythm on project status and operational improvements.
• Monitor and analyse the performance of SCADA control systems.
• Provide technical support and assistance to internal staff on SCADA control systems.
• Develop and review functional descriptions from functional specifications.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with all internal staff through effective communication and responsive and accurate action.
Requirements
• Degree in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Programming, or other degree with relevant experience.
• Has 3 to 4 years of experience working as a SCADA Engineer or any relevant positions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with InduSoft, Web Studio/AVEVA Edge or similar SCADA software solutions is preferred.
• Experience with SCADA configuration, regulations, and standards.
• Experience with communication protocols: Modbus, BACnet or any related protocol system.
• Experience in writing software in C/C++/C#, Oracle and PL/SQL, Linux.
• Ability to communicate complex SCADA and controls concepts to non-experts.
• Ability to work efficiently, effectively and to deadlines.
• Aptitude for critical thinking and problem solving.
