VP, Business Development

Note: This position does provide a remote work opportunity.

Overview

We are looking for a proven VP, Business Development, who has experience selling both software and consulting services. The ideal candidate will be eager to be a crucial part of our fast-growing international digital marketing consultancy executive team.

We provide digital marketing services for clients across multiple industries. This position provides a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment and where your performance will be highly valued while you spearhead initiatives.

YOU are passionate about marketing in a digital world, ready to make an impact in an entrepreneurial environment and have a BA/BS degree, with 10+ years in the advertising and/or marketing technology industry. You will also have led a sales team and have a history of quota attainment.

The ideal VP, Business Development will have significant, demonstrable experience developing a book of business for a fast-paced, rapidly growing professional services company, preferably in the MarTech industry but in the end, in consultative business development.

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for the Sales function at LCG to attain and exceed annual quotas.
  • Drive revenue and relationships across multiple industries with ongoing opportunities for business engagements.
  • Leads the strategic planning process relative to the sales department and serve as a member of the management team.
  • Sells software, solutions, and services by developing meaningful relationships with prospects. Constantly strives to establish and improve relationships of trust.
  • Writes proposals, sets pricing guidance, and assists operational leaders in leading pre-sales engineering activities to grow the pipeline and advance deals.
  • Collaborates with marketing to convert Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
  • Contributes on committees at the IAB
  • Helps LCG meet sales financial objectives by maintaining desired margins in each contract and proposal, forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Stays current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Promotes quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Promotes LCG's corporate culture both internally and externally
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Highly polished interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • High degree of initiative, with the ability to evaluate situations and make recommendations.
  • Comfortable in a multi-tasking, demanding, fast-paced atmosphere.
