As a senior accounting and financial reporting specialist within Corporate Financial Reporting, you'll be responsible for investment reporting. This includes preparation of quarterly and yearly investment schedules for statutory and GAAP statements, journal entry preparation and review, account reconciliations, and security write-ups. You'll assist with research topics and compliance reporting and monitoring, partnering with the broader investment reporting team. In addition, you’ll perform reviews and analysis and assist in the completion of assigned projects/initiatives while working toward more in-depth assignments. **

This is a remote position.**

Must-have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or related field of study (e.g. Finance) and a minimum of four years' related accounting experience, two years' of which must be in corporate or public accounting.

Preferred Skills

  • Public accounting background
  • Experience in financial reporting and analysis, preferably focused in Investments
  • Previous GAAP and/or STAT reporting experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and standards, and/or experience researching new standards and determining their effects on reporting requirements and development and continuous improvement of accounting processes and procedures
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Access) – experience with PAM, Workiva, or SOVOS

Compensation

  • $70,100-$93,500/year
  • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings; Progressive rewards each of us with an annual bonus based on company performance
