Job Description Summary

The Campus Experience Coordinator (CEC) seeks to go above and beyond the call of duty in delightfully serving guests visiting Liberty University through the Hancock Welcome Center (HWC). It is critical for this professional to communicate with guests in a way that clearly understands the guests’ expectations and ensures the visit delivers more than expected. This role is key to the success of on-campus recruitment efforts, Liberty’s objective to deliver exceptional guest service, and our over fifty-year heritage of training Champions for Christ. The position is an hourly, full-time position and does require evening and weekend work on occasion. **

Essential Functions And Responsibilities**

  • Coordinate and lead TourLU & Graduate TourLU guests’ experience within the Hancock Welcome Center.
  • Ensure that full time and student team members prepare and keep Visitors Center spaces ready to host guests.
  • Schedule, lead and participate in Special Guest Tours.
  • Assist with recruitment and special campus events.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Credentials, And Competencies

A bachelor's degree and exceptional oral/written communication skills, and extensive knowledge of the Liberty campus, policies, and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Effective communication both verbally and in writing. Ability to intuitively reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment in order to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Excellent computer and organizational skills.

Approximately 15% of work will be outside of a climate-controlled office environment, giving tours, hosting events, or participating in other recruitment events. Must be willing to occasionally work long shifts (12+) on both weekdays and weekends during events. Regularly lift 20 pounds or fewer. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.

Disclaimer Liberty University’s hiring practices and EEO Statement are fully in compliance with both federal and state law. Federal law creates an exception to the “religion” component of the employment discrimination laws for religious organizations (including educational institutions), and permits them to give employment preference to members of their own religion. Liberty University is in that category.
