Design Intern at Volkswagen of America, Inc

To participate in the various stages of the Design process with focus on Interior Design and 3D Visualization. Involved from initial research to design concept, leading into development in 2D and 3D. The design intern will learn “real-world” experiences by working close to staff designers, CAD modelers, our studio engineer, as well as other industry professionals. **

Job Responsibilities**

Participate in concept and production projects.

Develop numerous unique design proposals in 2D and 3D, taking into consideration all directional inputs in regard to brand and market strategy, as well as project and engineering constraints.

Support 3D development and visualization with CAD modeling team.

Support digital/physical presentation build up in VR.

Qualifications**

Must be currently enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months.

Major in Transportation Design

Familiarity with Alias and Blender or other 3D surfacing tool recommended

Exceptional design and visualization skills

Adaptable, Flexible-minded team player

Must submit a digital portfolio which includes sketches and 3D models of automotive design

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.

In the state of CA, the pay for this role is $20/hour.
