Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for an accomplished Technical Engineer in Marketing Technology to work hybrid/remote on our Marketing Engineering Team, reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will join a team of engineers who build modern marketing technology stack to support Autodesk's hypergrowth in the AI era. We are looking for a subject matter expert in marketing technology architecture, marketing operations processes, and data modeling to implement the marketing automation engine fueling personalized marketing experiences. You will possess experience in marketing automation & operations, with a demonstrated proficiency in Marketing Automaton platforms like Marketo and similar expertise in CDP & Salesforce.com. You have intimate knowledge of marketing platforms and relishes in leveraging technology to enhance marketing decisions.

Preference for candidates in the Bay Area or US in Pacific through Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities

  • You will build technology solutions in the digital marketing, lead generation, prospect pipelining, customer journey mapping and other aspects of marketing automation engineering

  • Collaborate with multiple partners (Go-to-market teams, Product Managers, Engineering, Architects, Data Scientists) to understand customer requirements, design prototypes, and bring innovative technologies to production. This includes influencing product roadmaps and efficient usage of marketing capabilities

  • Design marketing automation solutions, data models, enabling personalized marketing and customer experience functions

  • Be responsible for “big picture” solution design with multiple integrated systems and large data volumes

  • Transform (build/buy/recommend) our technology stack for experimentation and personalization with an eye towards customer experience and business growth

  • Implement marketing automation tools to streamline and automate marketing tasks

  • Ensure that we are continuously raising our standard of engineering excellence

  • You will ensure non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, reliability, security, compliance, and governance are all in place

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT experience, with 5+ years working in Marketing Technology space

  • Demonstrated experience of working with Marketing tools like Marekto, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaigns, AEM, etc.

  • Experience with configuration and deployment of Email/SMS Marketing Campaigns and implementing Data Driven Decisioning Workflows

  • Experience in Technical/Functional design and Solutions Architecture

  • Experience with management of CMS/DAM solutions

  • Expert level understanding and experience designing cloud Data models

  • Expertise in Big Data Platform architecture with a focus on scalability, performance, and cost to serve

  • Expertise in enterprise data management policies and principles with a focus on data lineage and data cataloging strategy

  • Working knowledge of Python, Java, Pyspark, Airflow

  • Prior work experience in cloud environments, primarily with AWS and distributed systems

  • Customer Data Platform experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with any Cloud Platforms from AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Experience with Data Analytics and mapping it to Campaigns

  • Solutions-oriented, Collaborative, and with great people skills

  • Result-oriented, with the ability to define outcomes, manage expectations, and meet deadlines based on project requirements

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $139,100 and $224,950. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
