Crew business analysis associates help determine business and technology needs, design solutions, improve processes, and represent stakeholders in project efforts.
Responsibilities**
- Guide business customers through business case development for new applications and functionality, including cost / benefit analysis and risk / impact analysis
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives through front-end analysis and research, combined with an excellent understanding of business systems, industry requirements, and available IT solutions
- Analyze business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications
- Deliver value through realization of benefits, identifying new opportunities and modernizing the organization
- Oversee support activities for assigned applications and assure secondary resources are defined, well-trained and competent to support the application
- Create or modify procedures to solve complex problems, taking into consideration computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results
- Minimize application support load by refining error management and moving initial triage to the Service Center
- Understand industry issues and trends and present technical solutions that enhance the value of our customers’ products and services
- Ensure CHS IT Methodology and best practices are adhered to
- Collaborate with other business analysts, technical staff, and management
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations
- Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent years of training, work experience and education)
- 2+ years of IT business systems analyst experience to include:
- Formulating and defining system scope and objectives for assigned projects
- Gathering and preparing detailed system requirements and diagrams
- Creating and modifying procedures to solve complex issues
- Experience with Financial Processes such as Credit Card Processing, POS systems, and File Transfers
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, MS Teams, Visio, Azure DevOps, SQL Server
- Experience with Agile/Scrum framework
- Experience with Business Intelligence
The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
