The Role**

We are seeking a Content Marketing Manager, Ecommerce to help drive sales and leads through our ecommerce websites: Hotmelt.com, Gluegun.com, Dispensing.com.

This role is responsible for producing website copy, blog articles, and product pages to grow organic traffic and increase conversions. It requires someone with strong writing / prompting skills, a deep understanding of SEO, and the ability to translate customer insights into content.

Ecommerce is a new function within APPLIED Adhesives. You’ll work closely with the Ecommerce Director, helping to define our content strategy and streamline our processes. This role is suited to someone who is results-driven and seeks ownership/autonomy in their work. You’ll be held accountable for hitting your targets, but you won’t be told what to do.

If you’re thinking “What do I know about adhesives?”, don't worry, there is plenty of expertise accessible within the company. Also be aware that it’s a $70 billion market, with no shortage of opportunity to pursue.

This is a remote position, but the Twin Cities, MN. area is highly preferred. **

Key Responsibilities**

  • Content Creation and Optimization: Regularly produce and optimize high-quality, SEO-friendly content for blog articles and product descriptions.
  • Product Content Management: Collaborate cross-departmentally with product experts to develop product content, ensuring that content addresses customer needs and is optimized for search engines.
  • Keyword Research and Analysis: Conduct keyword research to identify content opportunities and inform content strategies.
  • SEO Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report on SEO progress and goals to stakeholders and provide insights and recommendations for ongoing improvement.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing with a strong emphasis on SEO.
  • Content creation, keyword research, and SEO tools (ex: Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush).
  • Genuine curiosity about customers and their needs.
  • Bonus: Experience with Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
  • Bonus: Experience with industrial or manufacturing businesses.
