Position OverviewWe are looking for a Cloud Engineer focused on Kafka and AWS to join our team to support our Cloud migration and resiliency efforts. You will be part of an in-house technology team that’s creating consumer-facing, cutting-edge technologies revolutionizing the hospitality industry around the world! - Work on MSK/Kafka administration, platform management, performance optimization of Kafka partitioning and Kafka brokers. - Be part of MSK/Kafka Roadmap, driving enhancements, Kafka mirroring, security updates, and standardizing best practices for Kafka. - Automate and enhance existing operational procedures, maintenance and build outs. - Optimize the scalability and resiliency of our Kafka environment across multiple regions, supporting both active-active and active-passive setups. - Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to fulfill business requirements.

Required Skills - 2 years experience with AWS - 2 years experience with DevOps tool sets and methodologies. - 3 years experience with Kafka mirroring with MirrorMaker. - 3 years experience with Kafka - Experience with supporting 24/7 critical systems for on-call. - Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like systems DataDog, Prometheus, Splunk. - Experience with certificate-based authentication, x509 certs. - Experience with multi region active-active, active-passive setups and disaster recovery. - Knowledge on micro service architecture and serverless system. - Knowledge on Kubernetes, helm, EKS.

Preferred Skills - Experience with Amazon Managed Streaming for Kafka (MSK) - Experience supporting Java applications and Node JS. - Scripting experience with Node.js, JavaScript, bash. - Experience with Zookeeper.
