Description

RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Technology Liftoff Advisor to become a part of our superior workforce supporting the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)’s mission to deliver clean energy demonstration projects at scale in partnership with the private sector to accelerate deployment, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized energy system.


The Technology Liftoff Advisor will provide support to the OCED Leadership team and Portfolio Strategy team for special projects and stakeholder engagement, as well as reports, briefings, and other assignments. This support is provided remotely for various DOE locations.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess data, develop analyses, and create reports and briefings to inform DOE / OCED decision-making
  • Work closely and cross-functionally with many DOE leaders and industry experts and will establish working relationships with DOE and other Agency personnel
  • Work to tailor OCED programs to resolve critical barriers to private sector capital formation for clean energy technologies
  • Support OCED leadership in the planning, preparing, and implementing policies and strategies for technology commercialization. This would include working with a diverse group of outside stakeholders, including DOE National Labs, Private Sector Companies, and other Government Agencies
  • Develop analyses, reports, briefings, memos, presentations, and visuals that communicate the objectives and goals of various commercialization initiatives and programs; vetting information and materials with management/senior staff, related stakeholders, and other offices as needed
  • Build on existing knowledge and network in technology products and markets to develop an indepth understanding and perspective for innovation opportunities and commercialization pathways for energy technologies; developing reports & briefings that synthesize this perspective to inform DOE / OCED decision-making
  • Conduct market and energy analysis to provide future insights into and assess OCED’s current portfolio of investments in clean energy projects through interactions and synthesis of input from a variety of internal and external subject matter experts
  • Develop or leverage existing data, modeling, and analysis tools linked to crosscutting DOE strategy and policy decisions across multiple markets, energy, and industry sectors in collaboration with OCED and other DOE offices, and external partners
  • Act in a liaison capacity with other organizations, including relevant industry groups, non-profits, consultants, and other working groups
  • Review progress, evaluate results, and recommend significant changes in real-time
Requirements
  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • 2-6 years (combined) relevant experience in the required areas listed
  • Demonstrated interest/expertise in energy, energy technologies, and sustainability
  • Superior analytical skills with experience in areas such as market research, financial analysis, product development and supply chain/manufacturing
  • Strong technical or business backgrounds are preferred, including engineering, technology, and business development
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to perform detail-oriented work
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are a must, including the ability to synthesize volumes of data and communicate technical and financial ideas and concepts to diverse audiences
  • Polished and collaborative presentation style with the ability to identify and navigate inputs from a range of stakeholders, including executive perspectives
  • Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)


EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in technical subject area (e.g., engineering, sciences, social sciences, mathematics)
