Your missions

As a Director Architecture for the Price Optimization team, you will play a pivotal role in developing groundbreaking solutions utilized by engineers in our Business Unit. This position will be managing a team of architects and developers. 

We are implementing large scale system modernization efforts across software products involving migration to modern architecture and containerized environments managed using innovative DevSecOps automations and processes. This person will work with product managers, subject matter experts and development teams to create software designs, scope technical initiatives and epics, evaluate new technologies, and develop architecture frameworks and complex product features in support of program priorities. The ideal candidate will have experience in software architecture and development of enterprise solutions leveraging industry leading platforms and technologies.

Essential Duties and Functions

  • Build, inspire, and guide a high-performance team of IT professionals, including architects and shared-services developers to deliver best in class

  • Interact with Product Owners, Technology Leads, Project Managers, and Leadership Team members to recommend solutions that best meet needs of the organization.

  • Provide input to Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Solutions Architecture (SA) designs and standards.

  • Enforce Enterprise Architecture and Solutions Architecture standards for functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Set and enforce development standards and metrics for measuring developer productivity 

  • Develop procedures and common metrics to ensure that efficiency, collaboration, and quality standards are achieved.

  • Conduct design and source code reviews to ensure that applications adhere to the established standards.

  • Establish performance engineering practices for capacity planning, performance tuning, diagnostics, problem detection and resolution.

  • Verify that enterprise-wide application design standards are adhered to.

  • Perform the role of relationship manager third party software 

  • Represent the team at the Architecture Review Board and Monitoring Working Group.

  • Prepare and maintain Solution Design documentation in collaboration with Solution Architecture adhering to Architectural Standards set by EA and SA.

  • Attend educational courses and seminars to expand your knowledge and skills on the job.

  • Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 15+ years architecture experience to include a combination of Cloud, Data, & UI

  • 5+ years people management experience

  • Experience with cloud service providers, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

Preferred Experience:

  • Work with internal & external stakeholders

  • Create strategy presentations and documentation for various levels (technical and non-technical) for the internal organization and external clients
