Responsibilities: 

Delivery of the water quality modelling method updates required for current software development programme. This will involve working closely with our software development team and the project partners to ensure appropriate implementation. • Liaise with current and potential users to identify opportunities to expand our user base within or beyond current user organisations through the promotion of the water quality model. • Develop a detailed understanding, with appropriate training, of the hydrological models implemented within our software FDC and time series estimation. • Supervise and provide technical direction to deliver the required water quality modelling outputs and reporting for our consultancy services to the satisfaction of our clients. • Manage your workload and that of the project team. This will usually involve balancing the requirements of numerous projects simultaneously to achieve the required quality to budget and programme. • Develop a clear understanding of our strategic business needs and priorities and contribute to the formulation of these for our software products and water quality consultancy activities. • Represent the company with technical authority at a senior level. • Promote our software products and underpinning methods to the user community and regulators through conference presentations and peer reviewed publications. • Be fully conversant with the regulatory framework that underpins your work. • Manage your training based on a personal development plan agreed with your line manager. This will include a mix of external and on-the-job training. • Create a good working rapport with other team members and communicate effectively internally and externally to achieve the best possible outcomes. • Identify opportunities to improve on technical and business processes and implement process improvements, for example improvements to QA/QC processes.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

Min 10 years experience for principal (15 for technical director level)

  • Water quality modelling experience 

  • Hydrology 

  • Client liaison  

  • UK experience is a must  



Preferred Qualifications: “The successful candidate will have a good first degree (upper second or higher) in a numerate discipline and ideally be chartered with CIWEM or IEMA”
