Interpreter criteria based on project needs (language-subject-deadline-tools). Grading is based on experience and rates. Interpreters with legal & medical are highly sought after.
- Be a fully qualified interpreter with an advanced level interpreting qualification such as a Diploma in Public Services Interpreting (DPSI), a Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI), a language degree with an interpreting component
- Provide evidence of at least 5 years of continuous professional practice as an interpreter
- English Language on the level of a native speaker/near-native speaker
- Have to be a member of ITI, CIOL, NRPSI, DPSI, PROZ or similar
- Manage their workload and meet agreed deadlines with no supervision
- Must be a confident user of Microsoft Office products, Outlook mail app
- Excellent communication & writing skills
- Must be willing & able to learn new things quickly
- Motivated, flexible and responsible, able to cope well in a busy environment
- Can provide at least 2 satisfactory references from other UK agencies
