Job Description:
This team is responsible for architecting, maintaining, and operating resources within the Microsoft
Azure Cloud platform. This position will be required to solve complex problems and take a broad
perspective to identify innovative solutions. Work independently and with various teams with guidance
in only the most complex situations. Guides the successful completion of major programs is responsible
for creating and operating multiple individual project-based cloud infrastructure environments utilizing
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) that provide the platform for web application solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Work closely with DevOps, developers, and engineers to design, implement and manage a
secure, scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure environment
• Propose and implement cloud infrastructure and automation solutions
• Assist in transforming existing on-premises infrastructure components to modern technologies
and methods used to run services in the cloud such as Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a
Services (PaaS), Function as a Service (FaaS), and Container as a Service (CaaS)
• Implement infrastructure best practices to support CI, CM, performance, scalability, security,
and high availability
• Ensure operational readiness for launching secure and scalable workloads into public and hybrid
cloud environments
• Review existing infrastructure, security, performance, and availability and make
recommendations for improvements and optimization
• Participate with incident response investigations to include identify and recover.
• Areas of support include:
o Azure App Services
o Private App Service Environment (ASE) experience a plus
o Azure Application Gateway
o Azure Networking (Virtual networking, Network gateway/VPN, Network Security Groups
(NSG), Azure Firewall, and Web Application Firewall (WAF))
o Application Insights
o Key Vaults
o Infrastructure as Code
o Certificate management
• Assist designing and annual testing of Backup and Disaster Recovery as a Services (DRaaS)
• Assist supporting other cloud technologies such as
o Office 365, Azure AD, SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, Azure SQL
• Terraform scripting as plus
• Maintains appropriate documentation for configurations, applications, and systems.

Skills:
• Strong Proficiency of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong Proficiency of Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates
• Strong Proficiency Microsoft Azure cloud services including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
• Azure Compliance Center experience a plus
• Strong Proficiency with Networking, ability to implement secure cloud and hybrid networks
• Working knowledge of Azure Administration including Azure active directory
• Familiarity with complex software architectures, security standards, Oauth, OpenID a plus
• Familiarity with using developer tools including VSCode and Visual Studio a plus
• Expert network/application troubleshooting skills
• Azure Application Insights troubleshooting experience a plus
• Communication - Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Experience in a regulated environment and the requirements for protecting sensitive data –
HIPPA and GxP a plus
