WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Enrich your college career with some first-hand work experience in the accounting industry! ADL is seeking an Accounting Intern to assist with bank reconciliations, monthly financial statements, income tax returns and other special projects.
We are offering a paid internship on a part-time basis for the 2023 school-year. The goal of the internship program is to provide the intern with relevant skills and real-life experiences in a variety of accounting and finance functions throughout the firm
As an Accounting Intern at ADL, you will have responsibilities within general financial accounting. There will also be opportunities to assist with payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and projects.
Applicants must be ACCOUNTING majors and have completed their first year of accounting courses. Preferred candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and should have a good eye for detail, the ability to multi-task and excellent communication skills
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Reconcile and balance general ledger accounts
- Prepare journal entries and cash receipts
- Review and monitor daily activity
- Review agreements and their applicability to assigned general ledger accounts
- Research and correct account discrepancies
- Perform month-end closings and review financials for variances
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a college accounting curriculum, Accounting major preferred
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently and on a team
- Willingness to learn and highly motivated to succeed
- Attention to detail
- Strong computer and software skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Work Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
