Position Overview: As a Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our data ecosystem. You will design and develop data pipelines, optimize data storage and retrieval, and ensure data quality and reliability. Your expertise in popular data engineering technologies will be crucial in our data-driven journey. 



Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Advanced English
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer. 
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL processes. 
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala. 
  • Expertise in Apache Spark for distributed data processing. 
  • Familiarity with data integration and orchestration tools like Apache Kafka and Apache Airflow. 
  • Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
  • Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles. 
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance practices. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team. 
  • Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are a plus. 

Key Responsibilities:  
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation. 
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions. 
  • Implement data integration solutions using popular data engineering technologies and tools, including but not limited to: Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Airflow 
  • Utilize cloud-based data storage and processing platforms, such as: 
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, Google Cloud 
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses and data lakes, optimizing them for performance and cost-efficiency. 
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy by implementing data validation and cleansing processes. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, addressing issues promptly and performing root cause analysis. 
  • Implement security and compliance measures to protect sensitive data. 
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices. 
  • Document data pipelines, architectures, and processes. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
