Job Purpose Summary**

  • We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist with an entrepreneurial spirit who excels in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment to join our team. The Sourcing Specialist will conduct strategic sourcing actions, contract preparation, and contract execution for assigned categories, cost reduction initiatives, on time delivery, quality, supplier performance, consolidation/ rationalization activities. Ensures supplier relationships are established, implemented, and managed in the most optimal manner.

What you will do

  • Leadership for the development and execution of short & long-term commodity strategy.
  • Ensure delivery of effective procurement strategies.
  • Responsible for cost optimization roadmaps to support overall commodity strategy.
  • Optimize the commodity in terms of quality, service, market intelligence, risk, and total cost of products sourced from suppliers.
  • Rationalize existing supplier base through stratification, supplier development and supplier consolidation. Leverage opportunities by consolidating spend with key business partners.
  • Develop risk reduction strategies for the critical product and vendors.
  • As internal manufacturing capabilities and capacity increases, the category manager will evaluate and decide product to be produced within the manufacturing facilities.
  • Negotiate operation agreements with suppliers including purchasing, development, supply, etc. Monitor these agreements for compliance.
  • Support new and on-going suppliers audit activities to ensure the supply base has robust process controls and capabilities to meet existing and future business needs.
  • Working with internal resources, responsible for driving rationalization of the supply base.
  • Define and perform supplier performance evaluations.
  • Lead business reviews with suppliers.
  • Cultivate and procure positive and professional vendor relationships.
  • Liaise and support cross-functional teams (Vendors, Warehouse, Sales, Marketing and Finance) to ensure the company meets performance targets.
  • Support new projects as assigned.

What You Will Need

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of five years of strategic sourcing, supply chain and commodity management experience.
  • Previous experience in medical device (surgical instrumentation preferred).
