Job Summary

Under administrative direction and with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to support and lead the Virtual Branch Consultant Team. The manager leads the work of virtual teams, manages administrative activities associated with the program, and ensures the quality of the services. Leads large or multiple projects with potentially significant scope and business impact. Works with a team on challenging assignments that are broad in scope requiring innovation. Resolves or recommends solutions to complex problems. Extensive contact with internal and external customers is required to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex issues. Results are evaluated at agreed upon milestones for effectiveness in achieving specified results. **

Essential Duties And Responsibilities**

  • Recruits, selects, trains and supervises Virtual Branch Consultants in multiple locations.
  • Plans, assigns, monitors, reviews, evaluates and leads the work of consultants
  • Monitors daily work of associates evaluating workload and responsibilities of consultants to determine necessary assignment changes to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Conducts ongoing performance management, scheduled performance appraisals and salary reviews of consultants.
  • Performs managerial activities, including identifying performance problems and seeking guidance for remedial action; reviewing performance; and participating in interviewing and selecting staff.
  • Coaches and mentors subordinates, identifies training needs and recommends development programs.
  • Sets clear goals and provides insight and direction around the goals.
  • Responsible for providing a premier service experience to advisors resulting in continued subscription to the program.
  • Establishes relationships with assigned advisors and branches, handling escalations when necessary.
  • Performs periodic reporting on work progress, project completions and additional ad-hoc reporting as needed for senior management.
  • Participates in establishing objectives and developing processes and procedures to ensure efficient and timely work flow.
  • Oversees billing and monitoring of program.
  • May be responsible for ensuring compliance with firm and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of (6) six years experience in the financial services industry, including related operational, administrative management and supervisory experience. Knowledge of Raymond James systems is preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

  • SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied
  • Series 7, 9 & 10
  • Series 63, 65 and/or 66 as required by state
  • Ability to obtain additional securities and advisory state registrations if required by state
