As a manager of legal research , you’ll provide high-level legal support to the business. This position functions with great independence with a focus on research, analysis and problem solving. You’ll lead a team of paralegals and legal support professionals which includes managing employee performance and development, as well as providing case management oversight and support. Additionally, you’ll make employment decisions, handle compensation and reward planning, and monitor staffing and budget. **

This position is remote with a strong preference for candidates located in Cleveland, OH. Occasional travel to Cleveland as needed.**

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or higher
    • In lieu of degree, 4 years Progressive or law department work experience
    • Minimum 10 years related legal research and analysis experience

Preferred Skills

    • Prior paralegal experience in commercial/class action litigation
    • Expertise in state and/or federal civil procedure
    • Strong technical proficiency in database use and management (including SharePoint), as well as legal research, eDiscovery, matter management and legal invoicing software
    • Proven leadership, project management, analytical and negotiation skills
    • Experience using management reports/dashboards for audit and analysis

Compensation

    • $84,900 - 113,200/year
    • Gainshare bonus up to 30% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
