Requirements:

BSCS or higher
Strong background in networking and related protocols and applications
- TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, NTP, HTTP, HTTPS
- ssh, rsync, wget, curl, apache
Strong background in electronics and electrical devices
- Knows Ohm’s Law
- Power consumption (Solar, Low power operations, their tradeoffs)
- Familiarity with I2C, USB, and Serial devices
- Familiarity with web cameras, simple graphic manipulations and motion detection
- Familiarity with radar devices a plus
- Extra credit for understand the effects of the leading edge of thunderstorms
- Knows how to make software and hardware work together cooperatively
Dedicated to Linux and/or Open Source
- Solves problems on their own (goes to StackOverflow instead of the vendor)
- Displays the main traits of a good developer: laziness, impatience, and hubris
Knowledgeable of basic concepts of Object Oriented Design
- Classes, methods, constructors.
Familiarity with the GCC
Familiarity with databases: MariaDB, MySQL
