The Role

We're looking for a certified Product Owner with Agile expertise to lead the development of digital solutions, including web and mobile applications. Our aim is to build a collaborative team that operates at a fast pace to solve problems and build a better future for our patients and business stakeholders.

As a Digital Product Owner, you will act as the foremost subject-matter-expert for the digital products and journeys supported, understanding the complete technical stack, including platform configuration, end-to-end integration, business rules and underlying databases.

You will be responsible for driving the digital strategy supporting the Head of Digital Transformation, which includes envisioning, building, executing, and maintaining our digital roadmap. You will create and establish the transformation portfolio’s overall goals, and function as the application technical lead in strategic projects as needed across all products in our transformation portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both within BDC and across the BGUK market unit, to define digital products vision and strategy.
  • Full ownership and responsibility for key digital journeys and products. Prioritise and manage digital backlog to ensure timely delivery.
  • Apply Agile methods and processes to promote a disciplined development process that encourages frequent inspection and adaptation of ongoing work product.
  • Articulate product vision and user stories in a manner clearly understandable to IT/development teams, Operational teams, and third-party suppliers. Influencing and motivating towards cultural change and digital transformation.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs and latest cutting-edge technology within Digital Health.
  • Gather and analyse user feedback and data insights to inform and deliver digital products and journeys enhancements.
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities whilst delivering customer value.
  • Work closely with development/IT teams and third-party suppliers to ensure product goals are met and seamless digital journeys are delivered to surprise and delight our customers, gaining buy-in within complex multi-team environments.

Skills/Experience

  • Commercially driven certified Product Owner with Agile experience.
  • Significant experience in digital product management.
  • Strong tech background, familiarity with development and delivery of web/mobile applications
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, to inspire, influence and engage internal and external teams.
  • Experience in the software product development cycle, with Scrum and Kanban, and establishing and growing digital products.
  • A passion for innovation: consistent proven history of strategic and innovative thinking
  • Strong analytical skills with customer focused approach
