Your missions

Supervise the day to day activities of the accounts payable function. Ensure effective allocation of team resources in accordance with Department strategy to achieve customer service levels supporting timely issue resolution and invoice payment. Coach, develop and provide performance feedback to each member of the team. **

Core Job Responsibilities**

  • Supervise team and allocate resources in an effective and efficient manner to achieve state department customer service levels.
  • Review assigned division vendor accounts to ensure timely completion of statement reconciliations and facilitate resolution of all outstanding liabilities to include shortage debits, pricing debits, return debit memos, vendor credits, vendor paybacks, etc.
  • Evaluate performance of all team members, set and communicate goals and provide feedback to help employees grow and develop.
  • Ensure that organizational and department policies and procedures are implemented consistently across the team. Play a crucial role in establishing a team culture emphasizing core values of integrity, shared accountability, respect and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Communicate to A/P management issues of concern due to payment terms, Operations receiving practices, vendor and/or divisions’ performance, etc. Raise awareness regarding issues that may affect late payments, lost discounts and credit holds and provides accurate/conclusive information for customers to reach resolution.
  • Foster collaboration within their respective team to achieve department goals. Provide timely communication, coaching and mentoring of all direct reports. Coordinate with leads to identify on-going training needs in areas for which objectives are not met. Provide the same to their Team Lead and ensure lines of communication between AP Reps, Lead and Supervisor are open and aligned with definition of overall role.
  • Manage and monitor unresolved vendor liabilities and when required, participate in vendor calls to facilitate settlement proposals to resolve all outstanding items in less than twelve months from date the liability was incurred.

Basic Qualification

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years AP experience.
  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Bachelor’s degree in other disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of AP experience in a leadership role.
  • Auditing experience.
  • SAP, Oracle or PeopleSoft knowledge.
  • Experience in complete A/P cycle processes.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $53,040 - $90,480. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
