Digital Learning Officer, Museum Development

Contract: Permanent, working 21 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility). **

Salary: £30,631 (pro rata) per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Based at one of the Arts Council’s offices in Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Nottingham, Cambridge, Brighton, and Bristol**

(The role will be based at the office base listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week)

As a Digital Learning Officer, Museum Development, you will collaborate with relevant stakeholders to produce high-quality digital learning assets within an overall training programme based on content supplied by others that is turned into digital learning. You will also develop digital learning solutions using rapid authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, and e-learning and game-based learning tools.

In your first few weeks in this Officer role, you can expect to:

  • Create and edit L&D assets in a variety of formats, including video, podcasts, handout materials, documents, presentation slides, instructional videos, and flipbooks.
  • Upload digital assets to the learning platform and agreed locations.
  • Manage digital assets ensuring that content is up to date and organised in a way that provides a good end-user experience.

To apply for this Digital Learning Officer role, you will need project management skills and experience with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing demands. You will also require the following:

  • Experience with rapid authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise and similar.
  • Demonstrable experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders to build and design digital learning content resources.
  • Extensive working knowledge of utilising a learning management system.
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
