Position: Associate, Talent Sourcing and Volunteering**
Reports to: Lead, Talent Acquisition

Job Purpose:
Associate, Talent Sourcing and Volunteering is responsible for building talent pipelines and identifying potential candidates for current and future hiring needs. In partnership with the talent acquisition team, the Associate, Talent Sourcing and Volunteering leverages internet mining, recruitment marketing, industry events, social media, and competitive intelligence and research to target and connect with both active and passive candidates. Additionally, the Associate is responsible for recruiting and supporting volunteers and plays a crucial role in mobilizing volunteers to advance the organization's mission and goals effectively. **
Responsibilities:**
Talent Sourcing:
- Partner with talent acquisition team to understand specific position requirements to source for the best active and passive candidates in the market.
- Drive the identification of talent pools and pipelines by mining candidate databases, tapping into professional networks, leveraging social media, attending career events, managing relationships with colleges to qualify candidates and deliver exceptional candidate profiles to designated talent acquisition specialists based upon job specifications and hiring goals.
- Promote our employer brand online and offline.
- Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities.
- Maintain and incorporate diversity initiatives to candidate attraction strategies, ensuring the talent communities include individuals of varied backgrounds, experiences, and styles.
- Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships.
- Conduct phone (or video) screens with passive and active candidates to determine qualifications against position requirements, as necessary.
- Support talent acquisition team needs by reviewing active candidate applications against job requirements, utilize screening questions to qualify candidates for positions, and update applicant tracking systems, as necessary.
Volunteer Management:
- Assist in planning and executing volunteering programs aligned with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify volunteering opportunities.
- Coordinate the recruitment of volunteers for various programs and events.
- Contribute to the organization and coordination of volunteering events.
- Facilitate communication and engagement with volunteers to ensure a positive experience.
- Foster relationships with community partners to enhance volunteering opportunities.
- Build and maintain volunteer database.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify volunteering opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external entities involved in volunteering initiatives.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, recruitment activities, and volunteering initiatives in the volunteer management platform.
- Generate regular reports on recruitment metrics and volunteering participation.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Talent sourcing experience in a high-volume or search firm environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leveraging a variety of sourcing avenues, including social recruiting channels like LinkedIn Recruiter and tech platforms like slack and github.
- Previous experience in volunteering coordination is advantageous.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
