Job description

We have a position open for a Lead Administrator position open performing Technical and Engineering Support functions. In addition to ensuring proper support and maintenance, it is essential to have this level of knowledge and expertise specific to the project’s Active Directory and email system enterprise environments to guide provisioning migration to the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, engineer upgrades. The system on this project represents the core technology that allows multiple off-site clients the ability to save a file, print a document, receive and send emails and access the internet. The system is designed to be centrally managed to maximize budget and provide uniform and equitable access for all involved. The staff that manage and maintain this system for multiple locations are some of the most important staff we have. Because of the complexity and the importance of this system it is imperative proper staffing levels be maintained. All project location resources are dependent upon Active Directory being up and functioning properly.

Description:
1) Provide top level operational support and management of the Active Directory systems in cooperation with Microsoft
2) Serve as an Engineer resource for all AD and Office 365 upgrades for all project locations in conjunction with Microsoft.
3) Provide professional development to all districts (via live, voice and Teams) to support new technical functionality of Office 365 and AD services.
4) Lead operational and service migration from an on-premise AD provisioning system to Microsoft Azure (similar service but built on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform)
5) Provide ongoing daily support for the integration of Google and Office 365 email. This includes daily, weekly, monthly and annual tasks to continually monitor and maintain the systems that support Google G-Suite and Office 365.
6) Requires support to and cooperation with other team members,
7) Manages and supports DNS, WINS, DHCP, GPO. Domain site and forest topology management.
8) Manage and implement AD standards including the object name, object creation (import/export functions) and all group policy design,
9) Provide Q&A and Tier 3 escalation route for all districts.
10) Advanced AD troubleshooting skills with tools such as ADSIEDIT, REPLMON and LDP.
11) Develop documentation to assist self-guided issue resolution procedures for the service desk personnel, to include checklists, procedures and trouble-shooting tips.
12) Make presentations to districts, technology specialists, and staff.
13) Perform backup and disaster recovery procedures as needed.
14) This position may require periodic on-call duty outside normal business hours to ensure that the supported systems are operating as intended and time sensitive deliverables are addressed. The on-call duties will be defined at the discretion of the client manager and/or the on-call policy for the organization.
